How Florence is directly saving money for the NHS

Date posted: 15 Mar 2016

Over 12 million GP appointments are missed each year in the UK, costing the NHS in excess of £162 million per year.

Castle Street Medical Centre had a high ‘Did Not Attend’ rate and in an attempt to reduce this they introduced Florence in June 2014.

A blog written by Joan Laplana illustrates how Florence reduced ‘Did Not Attend’ rates drastically for Castle Street Medical Centre.

The blog also shows the healthcare costs avoided due to better prescribing, improved safety and a reduced risk of complications for incompliant patients as well as the direct cost savings made by using Florence.
